Tailtab: Privacy Policy

Last updated 19 October 2026. Tailtab is published by 1213 Studios.

The short version

Your pets, medications, photos and dose history stay on your iPhone. There is no account and no sign-up. We count anonymous app usage to improve the app, and Apple and RevenueCat handle purchases.

What stays on your device

Everything you enter in Tailtab is stored only on your device: pet names and kinds, pet photos, medications, amounts, schedules, doses marked given or skipped, and refill counts. 1213 Studios does not receive or hold any of it.

Photos and camera

If you add a pet photo, Tailtab asks to use your photo library or camera. Only the photo you choose is copied, shrunk and saved inside the app on your device. It is never uploaded.

Backups and sharing

Data leaves your device only when you choose to share it. "Back up data" creates a file you can save to Files, iCloud Drive or send by email; the vet record can be shared as a PDF or copied as text. Where that file goes is up to you, and the service you send it to (for example iCloud or your email provider) handles it under its own privacy policy. A backup includes your pet photos.

Analytics

Tailtab uses Firebase Analytics (Google) to count how the app is used, for example that onboarding was finished, a dose was marked given or the paywall was shown. These events carry no names, medications, notes or photos. Firebase may receive a device-level app instance identifier and general device information. Tailtab does not use advertising and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

Purchases

Purchases are made through Apple's App Store and charged to your Apple ID. To check whether Premium is active, the app uses RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous app user identifier and your purchase history for this app. We never see your payment details.

Notifications

Reminders are scheduled on your device. No notification content is sent to us.

Children

Tailtab is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Deleting your data

You can remove a pet and its history in the app, and deleting the app removes everything it stored on your device. Backup files you saved elsewhere are yours to delete. To ask about purchase records held by RevenueCat, write to the address below.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
